Nestled within the upscale gated community of Vizcaya, Sand Dollar guests enjoy an expansive private beach reserved exclusively for Vizcaya residents. Steps away, relax in Vizcaya’s large heated swimming pool, spacious entertaining deck, private cabanas and well-maintained shower and bathrooms.



Impeccably decorated, this beautiful home’s spacious layout comfortably accommodates up to 16 people. Expansive windows surround the 2nd floor living space, serving up spectacular Gulf views from every angle. The large open great room invites guests to relax and linger, with plenty of comfortable seating, flat screen TV, gas fireplace and café table seating. The expansive views draw guests out to the covered wrap-around veranda where they can spend hours relaxing on outdoor lounge furniture or dine at patio table seating.



Sand Dollar’s large well-stocked gourmet kitchen makes it easy to ‘eat-in’; equipped with stainless steel appliances and expansive granite countertops, there’s plenty of room for multiple cooks. The generous island and bar stools make the kitchen a favorite gathering spot, flowing easily into the open dining room and living space. Grill-masters will be enticed by the custom built-in grill station featuring a large gas grill, a ‘ceramic-egg’ charcoal smoker and spacious granite countertop, all conveniently located just off the kitchen and protected by the covered veranda.



Sand Dollar features four well-appointed bedroom suites, each with its own private attached bathroom for the ultimate in guest privacy. The luxurious 3rd floor master suite overlooks the Gulf, where guests can savor panoramic views from the casual seating area, the lounge chairs on the private balcony, or from the comfort of the king sized bed. Two additional half baths and two sofa sleepers with upgraded Cloud Coil mattresses provide additional sleeping options and guest flexibility.

      Bumpy start heated ending

      Sand Dollar is a beautiful property with amazing decor and having a 2nd fridge helpful. Location great but anything gulf front along 30A could boast of that. Now a bit of negativity; upon arrival and wanting to check out view the door handle on the door leading to balcony fell off. Now I read renter before us had same problem so in at least 2 weeks time problem not solved. 2 days for a temporary fix and we were told to be careful. Our Last night there, air on floors 1 & 2 quit working. A portable unit was brought out for BR but 80* packing and cleaning unacceptable .We found items under furniture missed by cleaning crew from ? Knows when .We had an air problem at another home on 30A couple summers back and it was resolved late at night and the owner called me personally from NV so I know repairs can be made 24/7. Air problems should be treated as an emergency, only other complaint is that garage showing in not usable. Half is media room and other half locked so no covered parking. We had a wonderful week, great weather, beautiful water. But reading some of our problems were pre existing unresolved ones from weeks ago and the horrible experience of no air conditioning with an infant gives me pause to recommend this property. This was our 2nd Vizcaya home to rent. This would have been an obvious choice over the other home had it not been for the door which by the way could not be locked and most distressing allowing guests to swelter in oppressive heat with an infant with no attempt by an expert in the field to solve the problem. I know these things happen but I also know problems can and should be resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. The heat caused by no air conditioning could have created an unhealthy possibly dangerous situation and additional efforts should have made to solve the problem. All ratings based for the most part on air problems.

While we apologize and are truly sorry for your inconvenience with the door handle, we would like to state that the other review that you are referencing did not post until you were already checked in at Sand Dollar. The door was addressed during the prior visit and unfortunately needed to have parts ordered. We do our best to both handle guest concerns at the time they are brought up as well as respecting guest privacy and vacation time. Also we are terribly sorry that the A/C experienced a malfunction on your last night of vacation. We treat every a/c problem with the utmost urgency so we can avoid an impact to your stay and the fact that the unit was repaired first thing next morning (within two business hours of it going out) should reflect that. We truly value your feedback and can assure you that these unexpected issues have been fully repaired. We hope that you will again join us at Sand Dollar as it is one of the top rated homes along 30-A for a reason!

      Bumpy start to a great vacation

      This home needs some much needed attention. We had problems starting the first day of our vacation. The BBQ Pit and Egg were not maintained and did not work. Had to get rental company to bring a portable gas grill to us. Used this one once and it broke as well. Handle on patio door falls off even after maintenance came over to fix it. We just quit using that door. Upstairs bathroom shower has major leak and leaked water all over downstairs and kitchen. We were not able to use that shower/bath for the whole week. Overhead rheostat light switch in kitchen becomes extremely hot when on and it is apparent that this has been going on for a while since scorched wall plate is indicative of burning of some sort. We simply stopped using that light making it difficult to cook since it was the main lighting for the kitchen. We did keep the fire extinguisher near by just in case. The toilet in upstairs master suite has problems flushing.
      All of this was happening on our first day so our vacation started off a little bumpy. The management team was very professional and tried to attend to all of our concerns in a timely manner. We made the best out of a bumpy start and enjoyed the rest of the week just avoiding the problem areas in the home.
      The home is in an excellent location and stocked with just about everything you could possibly need for a beach vacation. I would still recommend this home to all. It just needs a little more TLC on a regular basis.

      WEEK WITH OUR GRANDCHILDREN AT THE SAND DOLLAR APRIL 5 TO 12

      THE LOCATION OF THE PROPERTY COULD NOT BE BETTER. CLOSE TO
      SHOPPING, FOOD, RESTAURANTS, GOLF A PRIVATE ASSOCIATION HEATED POOL AND MOST OF ALL BEACHFRONT... PERFECT FOR OUR THREE GRANDCHILDREN, TWO 2-1/2 YEAR OLD TWINS AND OUR 7 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER.. DISAPPOINTED IN THE WEATHER AT FIRST BUT 4 GORGEOUS DAYS WITH NO HUMIDITY, SOFT WHITE SANDY BEACHES, AND
      EMERALD GREEN WATER. THE CHILDREN HAD JUST AS MUCH FUN IN THE POOL AS ON THE BEACH. THE GATED COMMUNITY WAS PARTICULARLY SUITED TO SMALL CHILDREN BECAUSE OF THE SECURITY FACTOR FOR AND MINIMAL TRAFFIC. WE THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL VACATION AND HOPE TO VISIT YOU NEXT YEAR AS WELL.

      Luxurious Home on the water

      This is not your typical rental home. The owner has left no stone unturned to make sure that you are completely pampered during your stay. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are amazingly comfortable. The bathrooms are all updated and the kitchen is updated and fully stocked. There are two grills on the deck as well. What's truly beautiful is the view. Every morning we saw dolphins swimming along the shoreline as we sat on the deck drinking freshly brewed coffee. I appreciated all of the small touches like blankets to cuddle up with in the evenings. We were there for a week with some other families and there was plenty of room for everyone. Lastly, the location is perfect - away from the crowds at Seaside but convenient to grocery shopping and restaurants. You won't be disappointed staying here.
