Seagrove Beach

Discover a seaside village where you can enjoy the very best of a time gone by…
It was a time of screened-in porches, paddle fans and cozy beach cottages connected by sandy footpaths.  This is Seagrove Beach, the small town retreat on the Gulf of Mexico.

Today these magnificent cottages and condos have been updated for comfort and convenience, and yet they’ve retained their inimitable charm.  And so has the town.  Ride your bicycle along the Timpoochee Trail, past the iconic Seagrove Villas Motel, the seafood shops, the retro-chic boutiques, and get a taste for what life was like in simpler times.

Wander through the galleries and soak in the energy of a vibrant arts scene.  Experience first-hand what draws painters and artisans from around the world to the Emerald Coast.  Stroll from your cottage nestled among the oak trees and Spanish moss and drop by the Village Market Café for a coffee and the morning paper. All the excitement of Seaside and WaterColor are a short walk or bicycle ride away..

Seagrove Beach got its name from the abundant groves of oak trees along the Gulf.  One of the original hamlets along Scenic Highway 30A, it began as a cluster of quaint, shaded cottages at the end of a sandy, winding road from U.S. Highway 98.  Today the roads are paved, but the sand grass and the oak groves remain.

Situated at the midway point of the 30A corridor, Seagrove is a blend of old Florida charm and modern-day convenience.  It borders the village of Seaside to the west which allows for easy-as-can-be access to Alys, Rosemary and Inlet Beaches to the east. The Publix grocery store in WaterColor Crossings and the shops of Seagrove Plaza are also close by.

It’s a town with its very own vibe… and it’s easy to fit in!  Residents and visitors alike collect shells on the sugar-white sand in the morning, and relax in the shade of the screened-in porch under a ceiling fan in the afternoon.  In the evening, take the family to the Seaside Amphitheater for a concert or a movie, and then stop by the Angelina’s for a pizza or the Old Florida Fish House for shrimp and grouper.  Don’t forget to bring home some crab dip and a half-pound of fresh shrimp from Goatfeathers Seafood Market just down the street.  This is Seagrove, beach life at its best.

Seagrove Beach will take you back to a time when the world moved more slowly.  It was a time of hammocks, surf boards, scooters and family-owned shops that sold handmade pearl and seashell jewelry.  Rediscover yesterday.  It’s still here.
